THE CHASE FOR THE TRT CUP. Who can make the cut?

With the first ever edition of The Racing Tournaments new Chase only 4 races away, many wonder which drivers have a realistic shot at being one of the top 10 drivers who can still take home the championship. Currently the chase standings look like this after R8 in Michigan. **CHASE STANDINGS** (4 Races Remain till Chase) POS. Name Points From Cutline 1st Jinty +185 2nd Lewis +183 3rd Josh (27) +158 4th Kimi +130 5th Alejandro +45 6th Balkan +23 7th PJ +15 8th Avian +13 9th Kellz +7 10th Matthew +0 ————CHASE CUTLINE———- 12th Purple -2 13th Josh (3) -10 Everyone Else -15 LIKELY CANDIDATES. The Top 3 of Jinty Lewis and Josh (27) have been consistently up front all season. Jinty even after missing the 500 and serving a 100 point penalty for forcing his way out his BK Racing contract STILL has managed to lead the points over 2nd place Lewis. Lewis has been very consistent all season picking up 3 podiums but yet no wins. However he is so far the only driver to race in every race all season which has kept him so high in the standings for so long. P3 Josh has however slowly been gaining. Josh won the Daytona 500 and currently is the only driver with a 100% rate with 4 podiums in 4 race starts. These 3 are practically safe for the Chase and only need average results to lock them selves in. Then is P4 Kimi. Kimi has experienced a roller coaster rookie campaign. 2 Podiums have come but a poor run at IRP and an unfortunate P5 at Vegas has kept him out of the reach of the top 3 But he has still accumulated 145 points so far making him the 3rd best rookie all season (not counting Branden who retired mid season) Then P5 Alejandro who would be higher had he not also suffered a 100 point penalty for forcing out of his contract with BK (RIP BK) . GOATejandro has gained 2 wins this season most out of any driver whose named is not spelled J-I-N-T-Y. Kimi and Alejandro shouldn’t worry about points that much either. Unless they get deductions these guys are safe SAFE. FOR NOW. Then we have a group of drivers who are currently in but might need to worry about potentially losing their “safe” spots. Balkan in P6 has only finished 2 Races and collected 38 points. Hasn’t ran since Round 4 and has been outscored by 3 Part Time Drivers. PJ only just joined the league last week and already out scored most of the grid putting him a P7 on 30 points. Finally Avian on 28 points in P8 has also only run 2 races like Balkan but to less success. These guys might look safe for now but one MASSIVE point swing could see these 3 sink. Then there’s Kellz who is sort of in the middle ground. 2 races completed but has been lackluster. Out of every driver he has the 3rd lowest Points Per Race at just 7 and an Abysmal average finish of 8.7 the worst in the whole league. This isn’t entirely his fault. The tracks he’s raced at have been hard. Darlington and Martinsville 2 tough short tracks. Not to mention a DNS at the Daytona 500. He’s in for now but needs to either collect more points or hope no one else under him gets speed. The Cutline Driver right now is Matthew, who has had an interesting season. Things looked high at Daytona with 15 points. But 2 DNFs at short tracks have pushed him down to here. Had Zilly not been banned he would have been out the chase but he currently lies P10. OUTSIDE THE CUT. I’m not gonna mention Purple because he is NOT gonna race I’m calling it. P12 is Josh. Not the Josh from earlier this ones Canadian. (Kinda. He Larps being American) A controversial driver. He had a fight with Matthew at Martinsville which led him to only 5 points after a penalty. He NEEDS a good finish maybe at Talladega where I expect many drivers to show up. Other than those 12 the rest of the field has YET to score points so I don’t expect them to join. So there’s the 12 (technically 18 counting those who are on 0) drivers who are currently fighting to make the Chase. Only 4 rounds left!
