Adrian Newey just brought back a 20-year-old design trick. They're called Viking Horns - two fins behind the driver's head. He first used them on the 2005 McLaren MP4-20. Now they're back on his Aston Martin AMR26. They capture the turbulence from the driver's helmet and send clean air to the rear wing. Simple idea. But only worth it if your rear aero is sophisticated enough to benefit. Newey's betting his is. #F1 #AdrianNewey #AstonMartin #Formula1
